Eleven Trump rally attendees were sent to a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, due to the extreme heat while waiting to enter the campaign event. The temperature was 111°F when Trump took the stage at around 5 p.m. local time, and an excessive heat warning was in place. Supporters started lining up early in the morning and it took time to get thousands of people through security checks into the large venue. Trump used the rally to repeat claims the criminal case against him in New York was politically motivated and called for the conviction to be overturned. He promised to reverse President Biden's executive order on immigration and secure the US border.
