6 dead as fishing boat explodes near Cebu
At least six crewmembers of the F/B King Bryan, a fishing boat, are killed when an explosion and a fire hit their vessel nearly 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) off Cebu, coast guard officials said on June 6, 2024. Six others were rescued, including the skipper. They were still being treated at a hospital or were too traumatized to tell investigators what set off the explosion and fire onboard the vessel on June 5 off Naga city in Cebu.
