Specially designed and manufactured by ecological technology firm Biomatrix Water Solutions, in partnership with the organisers of the Festival of Nature, the Natural History Consortium, the islands were assembled and planted with over 500 plants by a team of volunteers in Millennium Square as part of the opening weekend of the festival.
