Police are trying to locate a mother and potential newborn child following the discovery of a placenta and umbilical cord on the banks of Sydney’s Cooks River in Earlwood. Divers and a blood detection dog are on the scene trying to piece together what may have happened, while police are also conducting forensic analysis on the “signs of birth”.
