Cicadas Swarm Parts of the U.S. in Rare 'Double Brood' Event

Billions of cicadas are emerging across southern and midwestern areas of the U.S. in a once-in-a-lifetime “double brood” event. The last time these two specific broods overlapped was in 1803 and it won’t happen again until 2245.
