Mercedes workers at the automaker's factory in Tuscaloosa, Alabama voted against joining the United Automotive Workers union. The vote comes after Volkswagen workers in Chattanooga, Tennessee voted last month to join the UAW. The UAW claims Mercedes engaged in intimidation and harassment tactics against union supporters. The automaker is under investigation. UAW President Shawn Fain said it was a "David and Goliath" fight, but union supporters will continue their efforts. Over 2,000 workers voted in favor of joining. Mercedes workers will have to wait a year before holding another union vote.
