Former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi died on May 13. The senior BJP leader died at a hospital in New Delhi after battling cancer. He breathed his last at around 9:45 pm at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi. 72-year-old Modi served as the deputy chief minister of Bihar from 2005 to 2013, and again between 2017 and 2020. On April 3, the BJP leader took to X to announce that he was battling cancer for the past six months and will not be able to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said, ‘It’s a personal loss for me’.
