Ribbon-like Sculptures in Paper Porcelain I In the Studio with Ceramic Artist Simcha Even-Chen

“I’m working with porcelain since 2017. I was looking for a way to increase the natural organic appearance of my sculptures. Porcelain seemed to be the best material for achieving it. Utilizing porcelain property to collapse, enables me to get the “amorphic” shapes, which I was looking for. I’m fascinated by this material since the results cannot be planned and foreseen and each kiln opening is a new surprise.”

✴ Simcha Even-Chen — ceramic artist — opens the doors of her studio in Rehovot, Israel. Watch to discover her abstract porcelain sculptures.
