Taiwan Rejects China’s Bid To Host Whampoa Academy's 100th Anniversary

Taipei has rejected Beijing’s bid to host a commemorative event for the 100th anniversary of the Whampoa Military Academy. Established by the Republic of China military in 1924, the Academy was moved to Taiwan at the end of the Chinese Civil War.
