PH, US, Japan to hold summit
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Is expected to strengthen the Philippines' defense and economic cooperation with the US and Japan when he meets with President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in Washington D. C., Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Manuel Romualdez said in a statement ahead of Marcos' arrival on April 11, 2024 (local time). In an interview, Romualdez said the Marcos administration remains 'hopeful' that the territorial dispute with China over the West Philippine Sea will be resolved peacefully.
