More harbour events on the calendar for the community of Saundersfoot to enjoy have been welcomed - with a tribute concert and ‘street food’ festival lined-up.
At the turn of the year, County Councillor for the south ward Cllr Chris Williams said that he wanted to see the seaside village’s harbour decking area utilised more in 2024 for community events, before attending a meeting with the new CEO Nicola Gandy, Harbour manager and marketing manager, to look at how Saundersfoot Harbour can be made more accessible throughout the year for the community.
Next month, the UK's premier Stereophonics tribute band The Phonics will be performing at the harbour along with a Tom Jones tribute act.
This is a standing concert only with an area allocated to wheelchair users. Chairs, cushions, pushchairs and umbrellas will not be allowed on any part of the decking area.
The event will take place on Friday, May 3 between 7 and 10 pm.
On the back of the summer, Street Food Circus will introduce a new event at the seaside town in September.
Saundersfoot Harbour Festival will run over the first weekend in September (Friday 6th - Sunday 8th) bringing the pirate spirit to the National Events Deck with street food and entertainment based around the harbour’s life-size Coastal Schooner.
As well as bringing the travelling street food line-up to the town, visitors can expect a gravity-defying pirate circus show, sea shanties and lots of walkabout entertainment for families.
