UN warns of increasing e-waste as recycling lags

UN agencies caution that electronic waste is increasing globally, with recycling rates low and expected to drop further. In 2022, about 62 million tons of electronic waste, including items like cellphones, TVs, and laptops, were produced, projected to reach 82 million tons by 2030.
