Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has reiterated his readiness to meet with the groups to seek their views following strong protests from non-governmental organisations over the Citizenship Constitution Amendment Bill.
The Home Minister told a press conference on Tuesday (March 19) that as far as foundlings are concerned, if the proposed amendments come into effect, they will not lose the opportunity to become Malaysian citizens.
Asked whether the proposed amendments would be tabled soon, Saifuddin said it would be submitted "as soon as possible" pending completion of the engagements.
