The left wing in the United States is blaming "gun" rhetoric from Sarah Palin and the Tea Party for this weekend's shooting of congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
They point to her firearms-themed rhetoric. An electoral map on her website depicted 20 Democratic districts targeted by gun cross-hairs.
Keith Olbermann in a special comment heaped scorn on Sarah Palin and also Fox News pundits Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly.
Many blogs are demanding that Palin take some measure of responsibility, but the right says the shootings should not be politicized.
Nevertheless, Judson Phillips of the Tea Party Nation wrote a memo describing the shooter as a "leftist".
Overseas observers, however, are concerned with a different question: why are guns so easily available in the United States?
