The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) is aiming for Malaysia to have 100 local technology companies with annual revenue of RM1 billion by 2030, according to its Deputy Minister.
Liew Chin Tong said that when responding to Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari’s (PH-Gombak) proposals in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (March 12) that the government will continue to support local companies in research and development (R&D) and innovation by providing assistance to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) nationwide.
