On March 3, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for fielding Bansuri Swaraj from the New Delhi constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Bansuri Swaraj is the daughter of late BJP leader and former Union minister Sushma Swaraj. The Arvind Kejriwal led party claimed Bansuri Swaraj had represented anti-national powers in court. AAP’s New Delhi Lok Sabha candidate Somnath Bharti said that despite being with thief and absconder Lalit Modi, who ran away with the country's money, Bansuri Swaraj has been fielded by BJP. Delhi Minister Atishi said Swaraj should apologise to the people of the country for taking up such cases. Atishi also demanded that BJP should replace her. Bansuri Swaraj hit back at AAP and questioned the party on its choice of candidate, who was allegedly beaten up by his own cadre in Rajendra Nagar on March 2. AAP has named Somnath Bharti as its candidate from the New Delhi seat. Watch the video to know more.
