Putin vows to push back Ukrainian troops from Russian borders
Russian President Vladimir Putin pledges to push back Ukrainian forces to secure Russian borders during a meeting with campaign activists ahead of the March presidential election. Putin emphasized the need to create a buffer zone against Western-supplied artillery, citing recent attacks from Ukraine into Russian territory, including a Dec. 30, 2023 incident in Belgorod that resulted in casualties.
