JetBlue Reports $104 Million Loss in Q4, Forecasts Capacity Drop for Q1 2024

JetBlue Airways reported a net loss of $104 million for the fourth quarter, compared to a $24 million profit in the same period in 2022. Revenue was down 3.7% year-over-year. The airline expects revenue to drop between 5 to 9% in the first quarter and capacity to be down as much as 6% compared to Q1 2023. For the full year 2024, JetBlue forecasts capacity will be down in the low single digits, and adjusted margins could approach breakeven. JetBlue did not provide any updates on its terminated merger agreement with Spirit Airlines in the earnings report.
