A man has died after being hit by a bus on Great Western Road.

The 65-year-old pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin have been informed.

The incident occurred in Glasgow’s West End near the Horselethill junction.

Next, those travelling between Glasgow and Edinburgh by train between 29 January and 1 February may face disruption as safety work along the line is underway.

Scotrail have advised passengers to plan ahead on routes and only travel if necessary as there is reduced capacity on services, longer journey times and replacement bus services.

And finally, three Glasgow restaurants have been names in SquareMeal’s top 100 list for food and drink across the UK, celebrating the top dining spots.

These include Celentano’s on Cathedral Square, Cali Brunch on Great Western Road, and Big Counter in Pollokshields.
