On January 24, more than 2.5 lakh devotees visited the Ram temple in Ayodhya to seek blessing of Lord Ram. Meanwhile, donations worth Rs 3.17 crore were received on the first day after the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, reported PTI. In a press statement, District Magistrate Nitish Kumar said more than 2.5 lakh devotees visited the temple till 10 pm on January 24. Over 5 lakh people visited the temple on the first day on January 23. As a huge number of devotees are visiting the temple, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with officials in Lucknow to review the steps taken for crowd management. CM Adityanath also advised VIPs planning to visit the temple to inform the authorities in advance, reported PTI. A statement from the temple authorities mentioned that devotees can now offer prayers between 6 am and 10 pm as against the earlier timings of 7 am to 11.30 am and 2 pm to 7 pm.
