UNION BERLIN coach Nenad Bjelica stunned fans after he was sent off for pushing Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane in the FACE.
The Croatian head coach, 52, was watching his side trail 1-0 when he picked up the ball after it went off by the touchline.
Ex-Manchester City man Sane, 28, attempted to grab it from him, but Bjelica whipped it away.
The manager then lost control of the ball, before he proceeded to thrust his hand into the Bayern man's face.
The moment sparked chaos on the sideline as backroom staff pulled the pair apart.
And Bjelica was rightly dismissed for his shocking actions as those watching were left astonished.
Sane was given a yellow card for his part in the altercation.
Reacting on social media, one person said: "He deserves a long ban. That’s bad."
Another added: "Why would he do that?"
A third replied: "Surprised Sane is still standing. Some force in that."
While a fourth simply responded: "That’s crazy."
Bjelica now faces the prospect of a lengthy ban following the violent act - which came moments after his side appealed for a penalty that was not given.
Bayern held on to win the game 1-0 and close the gap on Bayer Leverkusen to four points at the top of the Bundesliga table.
It comes after Harry Kane and Co suffered a shock 1-0 home loss to Werder Bremen at the weekend.
