Victoria's historic efforts for treaty with the state's First Nations people have hit a hurdle with the Coalition dumping its bipartisan support for the process. The about-face was made in secret last year around the time of the Voice referendum and driven by fears of financial reparations community division and anger over current cultural planning laws.
