On January 19, The National Stock Exchange announced that the equity and derivatives markets will remain closed on January 22. The decision has been taken due to the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22. The equity and derivatives will be traded on January 20 from 9 am pre-open, 9:15 pm to 3:30 pm without Disaster Recovery movement, NSE said in its press release. Meanwhile, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said that the money markets will remain closed on January 22. RBI said there will be no transactions & settlements in government securities (primary and secondary), foreign exchange, money markets & Rupee Interest Rate Derivatives on January 22.
