Dutch off-road rider Henk Kampijon died after a collision with another competitor during the Off Road Rit Havelte, on Sunday, 06 October 2013.

Organized by the Motorclub Havelte, the off-road meeting also known as "d’ Olde Lantschaprijders" was held on the Boslaan enduro course near Havelte, a village in the province of Drente, Netherlands. During the race, the number plate of competitor Henk Kampijon's bike came loose. Shortly later he came in the path of an oncoming group of competitors, and one of them, a 25-year-old rider from Staphorst, which name was not released, was unable to avoid him and the two bikes collided head-on.

Seriously injured Henk Kampijon was taken to hospital in Zwolle, province of Overijssel, Netherlands, but unfortunately he passed away before reaching the hospital. The other rider who suffered broken bones, was taken to hospital by the rescue helicopter of the UMCG Mobiel Medisch Team.
