We have been out across the country for people’s opinions on the Post Office IT scandal.
Between 1999 and 2015, the Post Office pursued 736 sub-postmasters and sub-postmistresses, about one per week, using data from Horizon. Despite claims of innocence and raised Horizon concerns, some faced imprisonment for false accounting and theft, causing financial ruin. After 20 years, campaigners secured a legal battle for case reviews, but only 93 convictions have been overturned. A public inquiry persists, with many victims still battling to reverse convictions or obtain rightful compensation.
