Construction job openings hit a new record high in November at 434,000, up 44% from the same period in 2019, as demand for construction workers remains tight. Job openings in the information sector, which includes tech companies, fell 18% from November 2019 levels to 127,000 openings. Professional and business services, which includes some tech firms, saw openings 35% above 2019 despite a decline, indicating a still tight labor market.
