Two teenagers who plotted together to commit murder have been convicted of killing 16-year-old girl Brianna Ghey in Linear Park, Culceth. The boy and girl, who can't be named because of their age and were referred to in court as Girl X and Boy Y, spent months plotting to kill someone and had a list of several potential victims that they knew.They will be sentenced after Christmas.
A total of 77 people have now been arrested in Everton after two men sustained gunshot wounds to their legs on Wednesday, 13 December. Since then, officers have carried out 218 stop searches, seizing quantities of drugs, cash and dangerous weapons, including a knife. Increased patrols will continue in the area as officers look to disrupt those involved in criminality and reassure local residents.
