The horrific accident that resulted in the deaths of two spectators, happened on Friday, 10 April 1992 in the village of Łęki, Poland, nearly the end of the 5th special stage Trzemeśnia-Łęki of the Rajd Krakowski (Cracow Rally), second round of the 1992 RSMP - Rajdowe Samochodowe Mistrzostwa Polski (Polish Rally Championship).
Due to a locked throttle pedal, the yellow Mazda 323GTX 4WD Group N #7 entered by Autoklub Rzemieślnik Warszawa and driven by Marek Sadowski-Maciej Hołuj went out of control and left the road on the right side. It rolled violently, ending on a field where dozens of spectators were standing. Eight people were hit by the car suffering severe injuries; two of them were killed upon impact, young girl, Joanna Hundla, eleven-year-old, and Tomasz Maciaś, 22, a photographer.
