UST nips NU to end title-drought in UAAP 86 women's basketball
The UST Growling Tigresses deny the National University Lady Bulldogs an 8-peat with a 71-69 win in the decider of the UAAP Season 86 women's basketball best-of-3 Finals series at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday, December 6. UST ended its 17-year title-drought in dramatic fashion, overcoming a 14-point, 47-61 deficit in the fourth quarter with a massive 24-8 run capped by Nikki Villasin's go-ahead layup.
