Meet the serial-mover who has moved house 20 TIMES in 10 years - and lived with rat infestations and Hollywood directors.

Barbara DelleMonache, 29, has grown accustomed to being on the move and has only recently found her 'forever home.'

She says she's moved so many times because of a combination of "bad luck" with renting whilst also wanting to expand and broaden her horizons in her 20s.

In one of her first moves, she lived with roommates who stole from her and overcharged her on bills.

Elsewhere she witnessed a shooting on her front porch and had to move out just two days after arriving.

She was 'kicked out' of a small town after making a 'joke' video in Indiana about the lack of things to do there - later forced to leave after being threatened by angry locals and fired by the theatre company.

She also rented a cottage from the late Hollywood producer, director and actor, Ewing Miles Brown, and has lived all over the US, as well as Spain and New Zealand.

Curly hair business owner Barbara says she never intended to move so frequently but believes her unfortunate renting luck and nomadic lifestyle has cost her $20,000 in moving fees.

Barbara, from Mullica Hill, New Jersey, US, said: "I feel like I've lived my best life in 20 different lives!

"Really what changed my heart on that was covid.

"I became more introverted.

"Before that, I was more of a free spirit and I didn't have many things.

"But after I met my husband and had a successful business, I moved less.

"I really hope I have to never move again."

When she was 18, Barbara moved to LA for a four-month acting semester.

She enjoyed it so much, after a brief spell back at home, she moved there permanently, moving in with friend initially before renting her own studio apartment.

Her fourth place saw her renting with a work colleague for eight months.

Barbara said: "I was supposed to be there for a year but it was a horrible roommate situation.

"She told me that I owed a ridiculous amount of money for electricity every month and I was young and naïve and I didn't realise.

"I caught her stealing money from me in the middle of the night."

Frantically looking for a place, Barbara managed to rent a cottage from Ewing Miles Brown.

She said: "It didn't even have a photo on the website but I went to see it anyway.

"This 96-year-old man opens the door with his fifth wife - his nickname was 'Lucky Brown.'

"It was this small cottage behind his house.

"It was mouldy and dirty but I was desperate and saw the potential.

"Two days later I moved in.

"But there were rats and cockroaches everywhere.

"It was crazy but also cool as I was able to go to Hollywood parties through his connections."

Barbara then moved to Tennessee for a theatre contract, while the seventh move was a combination of places as the show went on tour to Las Vegas and New Zealand.

There was a quick stop back at Lucky Brown's Hollywood pad for eight, before she drove 600 miles across the US for move nine.
