Warner Bros. Discovery reported earnings for the third quarter. While Barbie was a big hit, earning over $1 billion globally, it was not enough to offset losses from other parts of the business. The company is still dealing with debt from its recent merger and a recent rebranding of its streaming services to Max. Advertising revenue was down 12% at its TV networks due to a soft market, and streaming subscribers dropped by 700,000 since last quarter to 95.1 million total across Discovery+ and Max. Streaming revenue was up 5% from price increases and partnerships, while ad revenue rose 30% as advertisers moved money to streaming.
