Finance Minister Colm Imbert is assuring public servants that government will meet its December deadline for backpay. The Prime Minister disclosed last week that a senior public servant in the Finance Ministry had told the Minister in no uncertain terms that the earliest the backpay promised in December could be paid would be in May 2024.
On Wednesday, Minister Imbert gave an assurance that his December promise would be kept.
