The 26th edition of the Miskolc Rallye, second round of the 2020 Hungarian Rally Championship, was suspended after a fatal accident which happened during the second special stage "Bánkúti elág - Mályinka /1", on Saturday, 15 August 2020. The event was originally scheduled to be contested in April 2020, but was postponed due to the spread of COVID-19.

The Hungarian rally navigator Zsolt Tóth, 48-year-old, suffered fatal injuries when the #11 Škoda Fabia R5 in which he was co-driving to Gergő Dudás went out of control, flew off the road and crashed into a tree. Zsolt Tóth was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident took place between the villages of Bánkút and Mályinka, in northern Hungary. The driver Dudás was not injured, but after the accident he was in shock. He was treated and released at a local hospital. At the moment of the crash, Dudás-Tóth were running in sixth place after the opening stage of the rally.

An experienced rally co-driver, Zsolt Tóth competed in the Hungarian Rally Championship since the early 1990s, achieving a total of three outright victories. In 1999 he was involved in a fatal accident during Salgó Rallye as he was co-driving to Sándor Ollé who struck and killed one spectator standing in a prohibited zone. During his long career he guided different drivers, including Ollé Sasa, with which he won the Veszprém Rallye in 2014 and the A123 Teszt Rallye in 2015, sharing a Ford Fiesta S2000, and Miklós Kazár with which he earned his last win, in the 2018 TAXI4 Veszprém Rallye, in a Škoda Fabia R5, before joining Gergő Dudás. Their 2020 season started with two fourth places in the non-championship events Integra Group Rally3 Domahaza - Zabar and Bakonya Rallye. Then Dudás-Tóth finished 12th in the Steelvent Salgó Rallye, the opening round of the Hungarian Rally Championship, held about a month before Zsolt Tóth's death.
