Denis Delahaye's Fatal Crash @ Rallye des Boucles de la Seine 2007 (Aftermath)

The 15th edition of the Rallye Régional des Boucles de Seine, held on Sunday, 21 October 2007 near Pont-Audemer in the Eure department, Normandy, northern France, was suspended following a fatal accident that resulted in the death of a marshal and four other persons injured.

It happened during the second special stage of the rally, when marshal Denis Delahaye, 45, from Honfleur, Calvados department, France, was struck and killed by the BMW M3 E30 bearing the race number #5, driven by Frédéric Hervieu-Vincent Andrieu, which left the road and hit a small group of people.

Another marshal, Mathieu Breval suffered severe injures in the accident and was transported by helicopter to Rouen hospital. A spectator whose name was not released was also injured, as well as the driver Hervieu and his co-driver Andrieu. Owing to the tragedy, the remainder of the day's special stages were canceled and the rally was abandoned.
