Alliance of Concerned Teachers Party-list Representative France Castro and her legal counsel, Atty. Tony La Viña and Atty. Rico Domingo submitted a legal complaint against former President Rodrigo Duterte to the Quezon City Prosecutors Office on Tuesday, Oct. 24, citing concerns over a reported severe threat posed by the former head of state.
In an interview following the removal of proposed confidential funds from five government agencies in the 2024 budget by the House of Representatives, Former President Duterte criticized Castro's opposition to the confidential fund and bluntly stated that he would kill her.
