Hungry Chuck's band was composed of session players who collectively played on more albums from the 1970s era than anyone realizes. The group was formed most by members of Great Speckled Bird, the backup band for Ian and Sylvia. The musical intention of Hungry Chuck was to form a band that played an eclectic style of music blended from root forms of American music: country, rhythm and blues, rock 'n' roll, folk, blues, jazz and gospel. The result was fine, anyway, after the making of the recording the group went their separate ways.
