2001 adverts - Poirot's Murder on the Links (repeat)

2023-10-09 13

Adverts from a TV repeat of Poirot's Murder on the Links from Xmas 2001. I wouldn't normally upload adverts from the noughties, but these are reasonably interesting and some may be of interest to people. There are 5 ad breaks in all (including an edited 4th break, which I can only presume is so that the programme fitted on the end of the tape), and they are as follows:
1st break: Skoda car (Customer runs out of showroom); Magnet Kitchen sale; Meltus cough mixture (Cartoon); Tia Maria drink; Holland & Barrett (ad wouldn't be allowed today, but has a reverse attitude to "sexism"); Comet sale (washing machine offer); SeaFrance cruises; National Lottery rollover; and DFS furniture sale, then TV ad for last episode of Inspector Morse.
2nd break: Forf Fiesta car (Go Kart kids); GreenKing IPA beer (Another reverse on "sexism", this time boozy ladies); B&Q (Nigel, Ashford); McDonalds Xmas ad; British Gas (Flying Furniture); Anadin headache pills (suspicious hubby); and B&Q (Dee, Wolverhampton).
3rd break: Renault Clio car (Man struggles with hotel duvet); AOL internet (Mum, can I..? boy); Haze plug in; Phones 4U (Ashamed of Your mobile?); Spar supermarket; HSA (Laundrette - banned rabbit ad); Center Parcs (What is this life?); Homebase (Neil Morrissey - camped outside shop); and TV ad for Micawber with David Jason.
4th break (Edited) Grouse ad (Kissed all over); Homebase (Neil Morrissey - outside shop); Baxters soup; Lemsip cold relief; B&Q (Kitchen sale); and DFS furniture sale (what followed after this is unknown).
5th break: BMW car (Tested by Scientist); Norwich Union (Family on beach); Lemsip Max Strength cold relief (Office workers); Comet furniture sale; MultiYork furniture sale; Remegel indigestion pills, and BT (Black family wedding), before what would of been a TV ad for Britain's Brainiest Teacher.
