Longstaff was seen talking and joking with the PSG superstar after the match and he admitted after the match that he intended on giving the winger's jersey to his little brother.

The Newcastle star, who scored to put Eddie Howe's side 3-0 up during their epic Champions League clash at St James' Park said to TNT Sports: I think I was blocking him [Mbappe] from the goal-kick.

But after the match, Trippier, who came toe-to-toe against Mbappe on the left wing, walked behind the TNT pundits with his son who was wearing a PSG shirt that belonged to the France international.

Rio Ferdinand turned to him and said: 'You've walked away with Mbappe's... Is that Mbappe's shirt?'

The pundits took a closer look at the name on the back before confirming that Trippier's son had the prized jersey.
