Dick Van Dyke and his much-younger wife, Arlene Silver, treated themselves to a trip to Disneyland.
The “Mary Poppins” star, 97, was spotted entering the theme park in Anaheim, Calif., on Sunday while being escorted in a wheelchair by a cast member.
The actor appeared to be in good spirits as he stopped to watch the Dapper Dans musical quartet alongside Silver, 52.
Van Dyke was later spotted waving to starstruck onlookers from a balcony in New Orleans Square, per a fan video posted to Instagram.
“I would have lost my collective spoon full of sugar if I saw the absolute legend there,” one person commented.
“TRUE DISNEY LEGEND!” another chimed in.
“An absolute magical moment being able to see the one and only D.V.D! ,” a third added.
The legendary movie star sported a blue sweatshirt, gray slacks and black shoes for his visit to the “Happiest Place on Earth.” He topped his look off with a blue cap and black sunglasses.
As for Silver, she kept it casual in a tee layered over a purple long-sleeve shirt paired with black pants, sneakers and sunglasses.
The couple — who wed in 2012 — made their rare appearance at the theme park months after Van Dyke crashed his car into a gate during a rainy day in Malibu, Calif., in March.
The “Dick Van Dyke Show” star walked away from the scene with minor injuries and only needed stitches on his chin.
At the time, the actor joked to paparazzi that he was “doing OK” for his age because all of his “friends are dead.”
Van Dyke previously opened up about his routine for staying in shape in his 90s, which includes long walks on the treadmill, water aerobics and weight lifting.
“I’ve always been an exerciser and still am. I go to the gym three days a week, get in the pool and exercise. At my age, they say to keep moving. Put me on solid ground and I’ll start tapping,” he told Closer magazine in 2019.
He added that “good genes” and “optimism” have also helped him remain fit despite his arthritis diagnosis.
According to NPR, the “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” star further credited his eternal youthfulness to keeping up with his younger wife.
“I sometimes forget that we’re doing a great experiment here — 46 years difference,” he said. “And we work at it to some extent. There’s got to be some understanding, find out what old habits don’t work anymore. It takes some adjusting and fitting in, but that’s part of the fun of it.”
Van Dyke and Silver met at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in 2007 when he was 81 and she was 35.
While the two started off as friends, their relationship eventually took a romantic turn.
Prior to Silver, the actor was in a 30-year relationship with actress Michelle Triola before her death in 2009.
He was also previously married to Margie Willett for 36 years before their split in 1984. The exes share four children: Christian, 73, Barry, 72, Carrie, 62, and Stacy, 60.
