Police are investigating threats made to Mark Drakeford over the recent 20 miles per hour speed limit change. The first minster said he was subjected to vile messages regarding the new laws, while presiding officer Elin Jones also said herself and a number of Senedd politicians had been the victim of similar messages.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the case of a missing child over 20 years ago. 15 year old Robert Williams went missing in March 2002, and after years with little movement on the case, a 35 year old and 59 year old were arrested and subsequently bailed on Tuesday.

Much of south Wales could be left with just 1 minor injuries unit if plans to close Nevill Hall’s unit overnight are put into place. The hospital currently operates 24 hours a day, but Aneurin Bevan health board want to close it between 1am and 7am, giving many people a least a half hour drive for care.
