UN: Situation of women's rights in Iran worsens
The UN Human Rights Office spokesman, Ravina Shamdasani, says women's rights in Iran are getting worse. She explained that women who don't follow the strict dress code, which includes wearing head coverings and modest clothing, can now face 10 years in jail, up from just two months before. The fine has also increased from $11 to $8,500, according to Shamdasani during a press briefing.
