Teodoro bares military plans to file perjury raps vs environmentalists
Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro speaks to the media after the plenary deliberations on the Department of National Defense's 2024 Budget on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023. Teodoro said the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) plans to file perjury charges against the two environmentalists who alleged that they were abducted by the military in Bulacan, saying that their statements may have been timed with the DND budget hearing. He also commented on the plans of the Office of the Solicitor General to file charges against China.
