We had no idea when we embarked the sailboat of the Third Element Whale Tour that we were in for a treat. In the past we've been on several whale watching tour but we have to tell you, this was our most favorite one.
We set out early morning in Los Gigantes, famed for their amazing cliffs and for being a known spot to watch for whales and dolphins, due to the popular feedings grounds of such between La Gomera and Tenerife.
The first encounter we had was a with small school of Tursiops, also known as bottlenose dolphins. That was exciting but we totally freaked out when we were surrounded by a school of over 300 Atlantic Spotted Dolphins being all playful, following our boat and jumping out of the water. We've never seen anything like this before.
And for the grand finale a group of pilot whales were approaching us, letting us admire them.
