The beginning of Fallas 2020 was a bit weird. Normally the Macro Desperta is held on the day of La Crida ( the opening ceremony of Fallas), which is usually on the last Sunday of February. But since March 1st falls on a Sunday this year they moved the Crida back, maybe to reduce the impact of Fallas to the city a bit.
We live right around the corner of the starting point of the Macro Desperta, so instead of getting thrown out of bead by it, why not to participate and do that to others? Well, we're not part of a Fallas commission and throwing the Tro de Bac (like cherry bombs but way more potent and don't belong into the hands of children) are exclusive to Falleras and Falleros belonging to one. That said, one day we're going to join a Fallas group!
But now, come and walk with us through this firecracker parade to wake the citizens of Valencia for Fallas 2020.
