It's hard to imagine but both of these convents of San Cristobal de la Laguna are both still active and nuns live in them. The convent of the Santa Catalina de Siena has a small tower with concealed windows with wood carvings coverings, where nuns would drop rose paddles for events, when processions would pass by.
You can't really visit the convents but at Asis And Santa Catalina convent there is a small museum with some interesting religious artifacts but our favorite part was to chill at the quiet, beautiful inner courtyard.
