29 NSW schools closed due to catastrophic fire danger

Dozens of schools in the Far South Coast region closed earlier today when an initial extreme fire danger warning was issued. The Bureau of Meteorology has upgraded the warning due to increasing dry and hot north to north-westerly winds.
