Former President Donald Trump delivered a speech at a rally in South Dakota where he portrayed a dystopian vision of what a second term for him could be, and used foreboding language about fighting to prevent losing the country. Trump warned that if his supporters don't "fight like hell," they will lose their freedom and democracy in America. Some see this type of rhetoric as similar to what preceded the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. Polls show most Republicans still believe Trump's claims that he won the 2020 election despite a lack of evidence. Trump continues to assert the cases against him are politically motivated.
