Germany squeaks past Latvia on bad night for Schroeder
Germany's Dennis Schroeder is grateful to his teammates for taking up the cudgels as he struggled from the field against Latvia in the FIBA Basketball World Cup quarterfinals at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2023. Schroeder scored nine points on an abysmal on 4-of-26 shooting, including 0-of-8 from the three-point area but his teammates picked up the slack. Franz Wagner led the way in Germany's 81-79 win with 16 points, eight rebounds, and three assists, while his brother Moritz added 12 markers and four boards.
