Last school holiday in August, Abby and I took our kids and, mom in law and her sister to Hatyai, Thailand via train, especially to let the kids experience a long train ride. We took the ETS from KL Sentral to Padang Besar, Perlis. Then a RM 30 per person quite comfortable van (available at Padang Besar Station), all the way to our Hotel in Hatyai, very convenient and affordable.
Join us on our first two days of our low budget yet fun journey in this video.
Hotel : U Hatyai (around 10 minutes walk from most of the main shopping places) Basically, if you travel to Hatyai, you wanna be as close to Lee Garden's Plaza as possible, the most happening area, from food to massages.
Places we ate in this video :
1. กวยจั๊บเจ๊ขวัญ หน้าเซี่ยงตึ๊ง (Noodles in Black Herbal Soup, in front of U Hatyai) - Really delicious!!!
2. Fruit Juice in Lee Garden's Night Market
3. Burapha Bird's Nest (Near Lee Gardens)
4. 7-Eleven (If You Know You Know)
5. U Hatyai Breakfast (Super nice, especially their porridge)
6. Toro Fries (Central Festival Mall Hatyai) - Really delicious but the wait was long because the machine broke down before our turn
7. ร้านข้าวมันไก้ เจ๊ต้อย Jae Toi Chicken Rice (Near Siam Mansion, opposite, blocked by a tree)
8. Greenway Food Station (Food Court at Greenway Night Market)
9. บัวลอย แป๊ะอ้วน (Bualoy Paeauan) - Really good dessert place behind U Hatyai, run by a group of young people
