Over 600 firefighters battle Greek wildfires


Over 600 firefighters, with international support, are tackling three major wildfires in Greece, two of which have been burning for days. Gale-force winds and dry conditions have fueled 105 wildfires across the country, with 46 new outbreaks in the past 24 hours. Arson is suspected in some cases, and a massive fire in the northeastern regions has caused a significant number of recent wildfire-related deaths.
